Michael is a registered occupational therapist with more than 20 years clinical experience, working as a health and safety specialist for the past 13 years. He has provided consultancy services in risk management, manual handling, ergonomics and general health and safety to major clients in Melbourne and Sydney for over a decade. Michael is a highly regarded professional in his field.
Michael specialises in workplace ergonomics and manual handling, and has worked in management and safety lead roles for the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria, the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and the Victorian Department of Human Services. He has also provided consultation services to hospitals and state government departments in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
An occupational therapist since 1999, Michael has extensive experience in assessment of activities of daily living, equipment prescription, environmental modifications, return to work performance and task analysis in the community, aged care, disability and workers compensation fields.
Throughout his career, Michael has had the opportunity to work in varied locations with clients of complex and differing needs – indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse populations, the disability and aged care sectors, education and health care. This experience has enabled him to develop strong skills in working with a broad cross-section of the community.
