Elliott is an AHPRA Registered Occupational Therapist who has been involved in the NDIS since its inception in 2013. He began as a support worker whilst studying Occupational Therapy. He graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2017 and commenced with a not-for-profit NDIS provider before transitioning into an Occupational Rehabilitation position, providing services as a Rehabilitation Consultant.
In 2019 Elliott participated in a pilot program trialling independent assessments for NDIS participants, completing independent assessments. His experience covers a wide range of diagnoses including physical disability, neurological and spinal cord injuries, amputees, traumatic and acquired brain injury, and psychosocial diagnoses.
Elliott has provided Occupational Therapy services and needs assessments for clients living in metropolitan as well as rural and remote areas.
His experience includes community-based rehabilitation and health consulting settings, conducting initial assessment of needs, activities of daily living assessments, recommendations for equipment and environmental modifications, including the design and preparation of plans for major adaptations to the home environment, and the provision of training in adaptive techniques and the safe use of specialist equipment.
Elliott is highly regarded by his peers and his referrers for his thorough and compassionate approach to the provision of Occupational Therapy.
Elliott is a specialist in providing independent functional capacity assessments for NDIS matters before the AAT.
