Senior Occupational Therapist | Medico-legal Specialist

Diane has over 50 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and undertaken medico-legal assessments as an Expert Witness since 2005 within NSW, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, WA, and New Zealand.

Diane has worked with all age groups throughout her career including all areas of child development, from post-natal to adolescence, physical disability, chronic pain, neurological injury, musculoskeletal injury, catastrophic injury, psychological injury, abuse injury and cognitive impairment. Her experience has provided her with the ability to assess and determine the specific needs of each client to maintain their independence for all activities of daily living within their home, school/work or community.

Diane is well known as an effective and influential communicator who writes clear, concise and well-balanced reports. She is known by her clients and peers to be a good listener with a warm professional approach for all circumstances.

Diane has experience in delivering expert witness advice within conclave situations and also for the NSW Supreme Court, ACT Supreme Court and the Family Court of Australia.

Her previous Occupational Therapy clinical experience has been in the fields of programs for early child development for children with disabilities and their families, the occupational rehabilitation field as a State Manager for a National Rehabilitation Provider with a large multidisciplinary team, an Aged Care Assessment team and many years of experience within the general health care environment.

She has also had experience as an educator and peer support professional within the occupational therapy profession.
